The European Youth Forum Neumarkt serves as a platform for young voices throughout Europe. We advocate for civic engagement, intercultural understanding, and the promotion of democratic values. Through various initiatives and events, we aim to empower youth aged 14 to 25 with the skills needed for effective leadership and active participation in society.

Empowering Youth Dialogue
Key Milestones in Our Organization's Journey
Our organization has a rich history of promoting youth dialogue and intercultural exchange. Through various initiatives, we have focused on civic education and the importance of peacebuilding within Europe. From our inception to the present, we have celebrated numerous achievements that reflect our commitment to these values.
2018 - Founding Year
Our initiative was officially established in 2018, aiming to foster dialogue among European youth.
2022 - First Merit of Peace
In 2022 we awarded the first Merit of Peace to xyz
2025 - European Feast
In September 2025 we connected the Merit of Peace with Europe in the Region and startet a yearly tradition - the European Feast
Meet Our Team

Dr. Christoph Leitl, President
Christoph's first European Activities was his own founded "Europa Club Linz" in 1965, he later became State Council in Upper Austria for European Topics before moving to the Chamber of Commerce Austria and after that President of the European Chambers of Commerce. Christoph had Europe is his heart from Day 1, visiting the European Castle even when he was a Teenager.

Mag. Christian Buchmann, CEO
Christian Buchmann is former president of the Federal Council of Austria and currently chair of Styria’s Cultural Advisory Bord, leads as managing director the implementation of the EYFON programs

Dr. Claudia Weyringer, Consultant
Claudia was born in Graz, where she studied law. She started working for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna as an "EU cadet", attending a special formation on EU law and economy. In 1990 she worked for the European Commission. Since 1992, she has been employed by the Styrian Chamber of Commerce to build up and manage the European department and later the European Enterprise Network, where she has had various roles related to European projects, internationalization, and advising companies on building their European businesses. Since 2017, she is working as a consultant and supports EYFON from the very beginning.

Dave Kock, Project-Lead
Dave's european journy started 2017 with his first trip to Brussels. In 2019 he did a European Solidarity Corps gapyear in Lithuania, and later became an EU Activist. In 2022 he founded EUth.at a youth NGO and in 2025 became Vice-President of the European Movement in Austria. Since 2026 Dave is our Project Coordinator at EYFON.

Chiara Bacchelli
Chiara was born and raised in Bologna, a city located in the northern part of Italy. After graduating in Tourism Economics, she continued her studies in the field of Service Management and she got her Master’s Degree in 2025. She started being very interested in European Union projects and initiatives after following some university courses and after her 5-month Erasmus+ Exchange in Roskilde, Denmark. She deeply enjoys intercultural exchanges and international environments and she is now one of the long-term volunteers at EYFON
